Warded to Parvati Do you happen to have any weddings scheduled around Valentine's day? Or would I be fortunate enough to whisk you off for a weekend getaway for two? I know it's nearly a month away still, except I figure if you need to make work arrangements around it, earlier is better than later, yeah?

| Spontaneity v. Insanity. |
[November 30, 2008] |
Spontaneity. Insanity. Are they really all that far off from one another? From an outsider's perspective a person's random act could seem ludicrous and absurd, and one might think that person had lost their mind entirely. However, from an insider's perspective, it probably makes more sense than any other non-random act could possibly make sense.
So who are we to judge on what is, or isn't sane? Why should decisions all be thought out and planned in advanced?
I've got a new found appreciation for the fact that some of the best moments in life are the ones we don't plan, and don't expect.
Also? Being cryptic is rather fun, too.

Warded to Parvati
Would you like the chicken, lamb, or vegetarian dinner at Harry & Wendy's wedding? I want to send in the RSVP card before I forget.
Right, I should probably properly ask you, so.. will you attend their wedding with me? (If you say no, you will be forced to see me pout pathetically until you say yes, just so you know.)

| Dean's Haunted "House" |
[October 25, 2008] |
With a bit of artistic ingenuity and a whole slew of charms and bloody months of working on this, I've managed to charm my flat into a three story haunted house experience. It's bloody FANTASTIC. For those of you that like the spooks of a traditional muggle haunted house (all fake, no real ghosts, but bloody hell a good one can get a grown man to jump!) then I suggest you come by my flat this week. The haunt will be open from 7pm until midnight on 25 October - 30 October. (I'm not running it on Halloween as I know there's going to be at least one party that night that I'll be attending) There's a 1 galleon cover price, but I promise that it'll be worth the galleon - if you don't scream and/or jump at least once then you can have your galleon back!
Also, there's a fair bit of charms and magical work that went into it, so you'd have to check your wand at the door. Last thing I need is to call my own unit at work because someone fired off an incompatible spell during a moment of fear and panic. (They'd never bloody let me live THAT one down).
And yes, I do have permission from the landlord to do this. I've ensured all the proper charms and padded the walls with silencing charms so not to disturb the neighbors. Which, I might just leave on after this because they'd be handy for shagging and parties-
I've actually rented a room at the leaky, unless someone wants to put me up for the week in their flat. The haunt is bloody fantastic for a haunt, but it's not fantastic for sleeping, eating, and other flat related things.

[October 5, 2008] |
Euphoria Lane completely obliterated Hogsmeade in the football game. Okay, maybe we didn't obliterate them, maybe I'm exaggerating a little. Of COURSE we won, though, when there's blokes like Seamus and I on the team! That's just bloody obvious! The rest of the team is completely ace, too. That's why we WON.
Why, yes, I'm experiencing the natural high of being victorious. 'Course, it also happens to be an even bigger high because it's football we're talking about. Which leads to the even more obvious... football goes hand in hand with beer. Whoever wants to join me for a pint tonight, I'll be at Kelly's!

[September 26, 2008] |
I just want to take a moment to say congratulations to Harry and Wendy on their engagement. Looks like it's just me and you, Neville, left from our dorm to make that lifetime commitment. This makes me feel old I just hope they don't run my girlfriend to ragged with the whole wedding planning business. Er, I hadn't called her that before, I should scratch that out.. no, I'll leave it. See what she says..
Speaking of Vati... I'm taking you out somewhere nice for dinner Sunday evening. Merlin knows you deserve it.

Lisa, I'm stealing your husband for a night sometime this week for zombie flicks and massive amounts of junk food. If you had any taste, you'd join us. Honestly, how can anyone not appreciate a GOOD zombie flick?

| Of weddings and birthdays and vacations and such. |
[July 31, 2008] |
I think, all things considered, I rather like this week. When two mates have birthdays back to back, followed shortly after a wedding of other mates, it is like a celebration every day. Can't complain about that, can we?
I plan on gracing everyone with my amazing vocal talents. I could have been a rockstar!. hah, right! Don't miss out.

| Weddings and things. |
[July 23, 2008] |
This weekend will mark the second of my really close mates to make the walk down the aisle. Second former room mate from Hogwarts, to boot. Neville, I predict you're next!
If Ron and Hermione are half as happy as Seamus and Lisa are, I expect them to have a wonderful life together.
NOW THAT I'VE FULFILLED MY UTTERLY CHEESY MOMENT FOR THE YEAR... I think I should put this journal down.

Apparently, my father was keen on collecting the cards from chocolate frogs.
He also was a Gryffindor. Guess I know where I got that from.
Enough randomness for a day, this shoebox has more to it.

Seamus Finnigan! What day do you want to go plane jumping on?

|
[July 3, 2008] |
I want to do something daring, on the edge, exciting. A thrill that goes beyond simple rollercoasters and horror flicks.
I'm thinking about sky diving. I know, I'm a wizard, I can fly on a broom. But that isn't the same as jumping from a muggle plane and plummeting toward the earth in a free fall.
SEAMUS. COME WITH ME!

| . . . |
[May 16, 2008] |
Last night, I'm fairly certain I was a bloke when I went to bed. In fact, I'm quite sure that so far, for my entire life, I've been a bloke. Which happens to be my predicament, as somehow... I'm not a bloke anymore?
I'm a member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, and everyone has laughed their arses off at me all day even WE can't figure it out.
I can't reach all my best paints either. I apparently grew baps and shrunk all in one night.

| ... "M.U.D."? |
[May 1, 2008] |
Here's what I don't get. Mudblood is obviously a derogatory word, and offensive, etc.. And being raised Muggleborn despite not actually being a Muggleborn I've always been offended by the word myself.
So we have this group of people that believe they should crusade on the behalf of Muggleborn rights... and what do they name themselves? MUD?
WHAT THE BLOODY HELL. Does that make sense to ANYONE?

[April 1, 2008] |
I think today is the perfect time to announce that Lisa, as wonderful as she is, has only been a coverup for the torrid love affair between myself and Seamus.
It's also safe to say that I've never quite got the hang of believable April Fool's Jokes. I do appreciate the general trickery from others, though, makes for an interesting day.
PLEASE DO NOT BE USING EXPERIMENTAL MAGIC IN YOUR PRANKS. April 1st tends to be the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophe's busiest day of the year - one of them, at least. Please help keep me relatively sane today.

| Eye of the Beholder. |
[March 19, 2008] |
I couldn't resist. A photograph that causes so much drama was begging to be used for the subject of art.
This one is for you, Morag. Personally, you make a lovely subject.
( Spellotaped into the Journal )
For those curious I used pastels for the majority of the piece, but water colours for the face. It's a bit tricky when it comes to blending the two together, and rarely do attempts like this actually turn out for the good, but I rather liked it.
Morag, If you'd like the original (as this is just a copy spellotaped to the journal) you can stop by my flat and pick it up. I'd have owled it, but my owl is currently out and I'd hate to trust a mail owl with a work of art.
